No one who abides in Him [who lives and remains in communion with and in obedience to Him—deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] commits (practices) sin. No one who [habitually] sins has either seen or known Him [recognized, perceived, or understood Him, or has had an experiential acquaintance with Him].

If you are a Christian, you have an opportunity and responsibility to change the world around you, but you cannot unless your heart and life is continually being more and more the property of Jesus Christ.
We all have pleasures that we would rather hold onto. Those must be handed over also.
We all have those occasional relapses. Those must be repented of.
We all have excuses. Those must be thrown out.
We all have temptations. But God is faithful. He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able to endure, but with each temptation provide a way of escape so that we may endure it.
If you are a Christian, you know what you owe to Him who saved you. You know your responsibilities. You know your life and heart.
I’m simply going to ask a question: How much are you willing to give up for the Lord?
As for me, I am going to give up my desire to harbor criticism about people around me. (It may not sound like much, but it is. Pray for me.)
